A Supernatural Church
Throughout time there has always been a captivation for the supernatural. Deep inside of us is a call towards the supernatural because we were created by one who is supernatural. God wants His church to be a supernatural church. When you read things like what Elijah did in 1 Kings 18:21-39, you think about how amazing that is, but at the same time it seems to stay just an amazing story. But then we read in James 5:17 that Elijah was a man just like us. A man who simply allowed God to work through him and do something supernatural.
In church, it shouldn’t be about who is on the platform speaking or singing or performing. It should be about who is working in your life to transform you, and the only one who can do that is God. We don’t want to be like those that Paul references in his letter to Timothy that have a form of godliness, but without the power. We want God to be working in us in such a way that shows there is a supernatural change in us by what people see outwardly.
Jesus didn’t give His life so we could have a social club gathering. He did so that we could make an impact and bring His kingdom to earth. We are a church where Jesus reigns, where His resurrection is celebrated everyday, where His grace is evident and where His holiness reigns. We want to be a place where there is no explanation for what is going on other than Jesus.
In the book of Acts, the apostles were seen as ordinary men, but people took note that they had been with Jesus. Our excitement doesn’t come from someone’s emotive response to the word but to the change in their life. Where people can say “I use to ___, but now____.”
We don’t want to be a church of Baal. We are not going to be a place that just worships in commotion with an emotionally driven environment. That’s not to say we don’t express emotions towards our God. That would be crazy. We are a people created with emotions. We will be excited, we will rejoice and celebrate, we will be broken at times, but we will not be driven by those emotions. Without realizing it, that kind of environment brings harm to ourselves just as the prophets of Baal were doing.
We are a charismatic church. We desire to see God work in ways that are unexplainable, but we want it the way Elijah pursued it. Our desire is that when people see us they see God, and lives are changed. When people walk out we want them to proclaim that the Lord is God, not proclaim a man or the music or anything that was done by any person or group of people.
Consider this: Has anyone ever been amazed by your peace, your self-control, your kindness, your patience, etc? The fruit of the Spirit is the ultimate evidence of God in your life. We pray God supernaturally transforms our lives into who He desires us to be.

I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I assumed this publish was great. I do not know who you might be however certainly you are going to a well-known blogger when you aren’t already
